Educational Resources

Primary and secondary school education packs are now available for the Countryside Code. These curriculum linked educational packs are designed to help teachers get young people thinking about their rights and responsibilities in relation to the countryside.

The packs contain:

  • Primary or Secondary booklets containing activities for teachers to use with their pupils. These are linked to relevant curriculum areas and key stages which are based on the Countryside Code themes and which encourage children to think about countryside and access issues. The materials include information for teachers relating to the new access rights under CRoW. The activities can be used in preparation for countryside or outdoor visits as well as within the classroom.
  • A video that shows the range of attitudes to the countryside and people’s responsibilities to it to stimulate discussion in the classroom.
  • The Countryside Code animation, which is currently being shown on TV and in cinemas.
  • Countryside code posters, leaflets and bookmarks. Enough Code products for each child to be able to take one home. Schools can order more from CCW’s distribution company.

Free copies of the of the primary or secondary packs can be ordered from the Countryside Council for Wales by emailing a request to enquiries@ccw.gov.uk or by calling 0845 1 306 229
